At Aurora Conservatories, we feel the design of a conservatory needs to have empathy with the existing structure and echo the features of the property as far as possible. The existing style of the house roof for instance can be used when designing your conservatory; gables and hipped roofs can be matched.
Perhaps if your property has large bay windows, this again can be duplicated with a bay ended conservatory.
Mirroring smaller details of the existing property works well too. An arched window can be reflected as a cartwheel in the conservatory gable.
Small panes of glass above larger panes in the existing house windows can be matched, helping the conservatory to be ‘in keeping’, and sympathetic with the existing building.
